Corian®
Manufactured by DuPont®, Corian® is an easy-to-clean solid surface that comes with certification (NSF/ANSI 51) for food contact. What this means is the nonporous material resists stains and the growth of mold, bacteria and mildew when kept clean. The product line includes: countertops, backsplashes and integrated sinks.
Silestone®
Silestone® offers a unique aspect to their product: Microban™ antimicrobial product protection. Additionally, certifications by both the Greenguard Environmental Institute and the National Sanitation Foundation translate to a safer food preparation surface and air quality due to low-to-no off gassing emission of toxic chemicals. This product is manufactured with up to 93% natural quartz; the balance is an aggregate with pigments and polymer resins.
